Change user role

Users with the admin or owner role can change the role of any user at the same or lower level. Owners can for instance promote admin users to the owner role. Users with the admin role cannot however promote other users to the owner role, nor can they downgrade owner users. Role changes are rare but sometimes necessary to reflect changes in the responsibilities of members of the software development project.

Prerequisites

• You have the owner or admin role.
• Existing user.

Steps

Find the user in the User and Teams dashboard.

Click Edit Role.

Assign the admin role to the user.

User is now listed as admin.
